What is the best year for the Volkswagen Beetle or Bus?

I am looking for a car right now, and am extremely interested in the Volkswagen Beetle or Van.. I love both(: I was told that the '71 Bus, and '67 Beetle. While looking, I found an amazing shiny, yellow '65 Volkswagen Bus... $12,000. What do you think is the best year for the Volkswagen Beetle or Bus?|||Volkswagen Beetle will be better.

Glad you ask.|||I'd go for the Beetle, especially if it's your first air cooled VW.Handling will be more familiar to you.A Beetle alone handles differently and a Bus is just going to be very awkward for you for awhile.The Beetle also offers simpler maintenance(not that a bus is really hard either)so you won't be shocked the first time something comes up.





Also make sure you get a mechanic who is familiar with them, like back of his hand familiar, to come check either one out.They suffered pretty badly from rust problems underneath but can still look amazing from the top.You don't want your car to turn floorless on you going down the highway.
