Why does your 2000 Volkswagen Jetta make a rattling noise when accelerating?

My 2000 Volkswagen Jetta makes a rattling noise when I am accelerating or just wating at stop light. The belt was replace few months ago. I tried to looked if there was something broken, but I didn't find anything. It is a pain when you drive a car with rattlling noise. I need help and if you know anything about this problem please let me know what should be done.

Thanks|||It is your heat shield either on your cat. or the top of your exhaust manifold. A very common problem. The one on top of the cat. can be removed but the one on the exhaust manifold will need a tack weld.
