What is the difference between a Volkswagen Passat 2.0T and a Passat Komfort?

I had a 2007 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T (loaded) but someone hit me from behind going 50 mph while i was stopped at a red light back in February. It was just totaled and i got the check last Tuesday. i am now looking at a 2008 Passat Komfort and i would like to know what the difference is. From what ive seen most of it is the same.|||They are for the most part the same;(in base editions anyway) the Komfort (2008) replaced the 2.0T as the base Passat (2007), with a few more standard features in the Komfort--automatic transmission became standard and has 17" rims, vs 16" in the 2.0T while 2007 had a manual transmission available as well. The 2008 had manual transmission available only in upper line trim levels (turbo), while in 2007, the manual transmission was standard in lower lines, with the automatic as an option. One large difference is that the 2007 2.0T had many options available for it; leather, CD changer, HD headlights, etc., In 2008 Komfort has very limited options, front and rear side air bags and the like. Other options such as NAV system, etc. and leather or HD headlights aren't available as factory options in the Komfort model; 2007 models had these available either as standard or as stand alone options or in option packages. To get these options on a 2008 Passat, you have to move up at least one or more trim levels upwards (from the Komfort model) and spend more money to get stuff that you may or may not want.
