What is a defective busbar in a 2002 Volkswagen Golf?

I went to my volkswagen dealership and got a diagnostics check because my check engine light was on. When i got the results the dealer said that the problem was the bus bar. Does anyone know what this is and if so, how could one repair it.|||There is one in the fuse box, and one in the instrument panel circuit board.
