What sound systems will fit a 1996 Volkswagen Golf?

I just bought a 1996 volkswagen golf and the sound system in it is horrible but i don't know what will work in it if any. If i get a sound system what should i get?|||You should check the player position height of your car, if 50mm, you need to select from 1 Din Car dvd player; and if 100mm, you should 2 Din ones.
