How much would it cost to have an convertible top installed on a Volkswagen beetle?

I just got my volkswagen beetle.It;'s a 2000.And I want to have a covertible top installed.How much would it run me approximately?|||Much more money than the car is worth....

|||you might as well buy a convertible beetle, a conversion for a new beetle would cost between $10,000 to $12,000.|||Don't !!!! Sell yours and buy a 'factory' convertible' As others have said the cost would outweigh the cars value, and it would probably look awful anyway!


The factory convertible is a very different car to the saloon,it has a lot more 'built in' strengthening. You can't just chop the roof off without a whole lot of work!|||definitely don't do it. Do what the others said, sell yours and buy a used one that is about the same age as yours and you'll save a lot of money.
